General Information
   
Buses will be provided at the Finish area (Witherspoon & Bingham Way) to take participants back to the Fifth Street Parking Garage (Start area) from 9:00 AM and 12:00 Noon. Transportation provided by DC Tours.
Late Registration ($50) in the Fifth Street Parking Garage from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Wheelchair race begins at 8:00 a.m.
Runner's Race begins at 8:05 a.m. (If there are no wheelchair entries, the race will begin at 8:00 am)
NOTE: Seeded runners with bib numbers 1 through 200 should line up in the seeded area directly behind the Start line. All Other runners should line up according to pace. Walkers should line up in the very back of the pack, so as not to impede runners causing unsafe conditions!
Kid's Fun Runs begin at approximately 10:00 a.m. (weather permitting).
Awards Ceremony will begin between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. (weather permitting and depending on the field size).
 
   
Age Groups
 
The top 5 men and top 5 women will be eligible for awards (see below). Also, 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over (excluding top 5 overall - separate groups for male and female). There is also an overall wheelchair division (includes both male and female participants).  
     
Awards
NOTE: ALL AWARDS WILL BE $$ CASH PRIZES! (see table below)!
Each entrant will receive an official T-shirt. Cash awards will be given to the first five men and the first five women winners (overall) and the first three in each age group (the 1st place awards have been adjusted to meet USATF sanctioning requirements):

Also, CASH prizes in the amount of $50.00, $30.00, and $25.00 will be awarded to the first three winners in each age group (top five overall excluded). $125 cash award will go to the overall winner in the Wheelchair Division.

Course record winner will receive a $200 cash award (records are 28:59-men's and 33:45-women's).

Winners will be announced at the Finish following the race at approximately 9:00 to 9:30 a.m.

Only top 5 finishers (men & women) and wheel chair will be announced. There will be NO individual award checks given on race day. ALL awards will be mailed the following week.



Entry Fees

Early Registration fee (walk-in & mail-in) if registered by March 8, 2010 is $20.
Online Registration extended to Midnight on March 13, 2010 ($20).

Late Registration fee if registering on March 10, 2010 is $35.
• Race Day fee if registering on March 20, 2010 is $50.
• ALL mail-in entries are determined by postmark - no exceptions!
• Sorry, entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Timing

The Rodes City Run will be using the state-of-the-art race timing technology from CHRONOTRACK, implemented by Gault Race Management.

The Rodes City, and the other Louisville Triple Crown of Running races in the series, is proud to announce the implementation of ChronoTrack, a new innovation that allows for the use of dispoable tags called, D-Tags. One of the many goals of the ChronoTrack system is to simplify the timing process for athletes.




The ChronoTrack Timing System allows for the use of disposable tags called D-Tags. The D-Tag is easy to attach your shoe and is far lighter and less intrusive than other timing tags and chips. Once the D-Tag is attached to your shoe, you will quickly forget that it is even there. A disposable tag eliminates the need for you, the athlete, to worry about turning your chip in after the race.

Seeding
  If you would like to be considered for a seeded position in the 2010 Rodes City Run, and have completed races of equal distances in times faster than listed below, please submit proof* of each of your race times by March 8, 2010 to:

NOTE: If you placed in the top 175 in last year's event, you will be considered for, but not guaranteed, a seeded number. Runners who are granted a seeded position will be given bib numbers 1-200 and will line up nearest the starting line


Packet Pickup
There will be a Late Registration/Packet Pick-up on Friday, March 19th in the lobby of Louisville Slugger Field from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. . .compliments of the stadium!

The Rodes City Run Late Registration station on March 19th at Slugger Field will feature credit/debit card machines for your conveneince. Provided by BB&T.

NOTE: there is ample parking in the east parking lot adjacent to Slugger Field.
Packets may also be picked up at the Fifth Street Parking Garage from 6:00 to 7:30 a.m. on Race Day, March 20th.

Kid's "Fun Runs"
The 2010 event will feature Kid's Fun Runs in Waterfront Park on race day, March 20th, WEATHER PERMITTING.
Beginning at approximately 10:00 a.m. The fee is $5 per child.

We are a friendly bunch and are looking forward to our community growing through another running season!

Race Photography
Brightroom Professional Event Photography will again offer race photos. brightroom photographers will be taking photos along the course and at the finish line.
Following the event, brightroom will contact race participants via email and provide a direct link to their photos on www.brightroom.com.

  Race Results for the Rodes City Run WILL NOT be printed in any publication for 2010!
