Rodes City Run Facts!
2011 represents the 31st "running" of the Rodes City Run 10K, which began in 1981. The Louisville Triple Crown of Running was then formed in 1984 and celebrated it's 25th Anniversary in 2009.

The Rodes City Run 10K is the second "leg" of the Louisville Triple Crown of Running™. The new date for this race is Saturday, March 12, 2011 with a start time of 8:00 a.m. (rain or shine).

The exciting 10k course is Flat, Fast and Fun and is ranked the 12th largest in the nation according to the 2007 USATF rankings. The course has also been recently-measured and pre-validated by the USATF( #KY06053PR), so there will be no questions regarding and future course records. This event is both certified and sanctioned by the USATF.

During its 31-year history, the Rodes City Run 10K has contributed nearly $300,000.00 to local charities. The entire 2010 Triple Crown race series donated over $133,400 to the WHAS Crusade For Children on your behalf. CLICK HERE to donate directly to the Crusade.
The race attracts nearly 8,000 runners and walkers and draws athletes from all over the country to compete in the 'heart' of downtown Louisville.

More than 15,000 spectators watch the Start, Finish and from along the course. Many families have made the Rodes City Run a tradition and return to Louisville every spring to participate in this community event.

The RCR starts at the corner of 4th and Broadway Streets in front of the famous Brown Hotel, winds through the Cherokee, Grinstead and Lexington Rd. neighborhoods with music and entertainment along the course. The race will turn right from Main St. to Preston St. and left on Witherspoon and Finish at Floyd St. beside the Waterfront Park.

The Triple Crown race series will again offer Team Challenges. CLICK HERE for additional information.
