Rodes City Run Facts!
| • | 2012 represents the 32nd "running" of the Rodes City Run 10K, which began in 1981. The Louisville Triple Crown of Running was then formed in 1984 and celebrated its 25th Anniversary in 2009. | |
| • | The Rodes City Run 10K is the
second "leg" of the Louisville Triple Crown
of Running™. The new date for this race is Saturday,
March 17, 2012 with a start time of
8:00 a.m. (rain or shine). |

| • | The exciting 10k course is Flat,
Fast and Fun and is ranked the 13th largest
in the nation according to the 2009 USATF rankings.
The course has also been recently-measured and
pre-validated by the USATF (#KY06053PR), so
there will be no questions regarding any future
course records. This event is both certified
and sanctioned by the USATF. |

| • | During its 31-year history, the
Rodes City Run 10K has contributed over $300,000
to local charities. The entire 2011 Triple Crown
race series donated over $160,000 to the WHAS
Crusade For Children on your behalf, totaling
$867,000 over the past 27 years. CLICK

| • | The race attracts nearly 10,000
runners and walkers and draws athletes from all
over the country to compete in the 'heart' of
downtown Louisville. |

| • | More than 20,000 spectators watch the Start,
Finish and from along the course. Many families
have made the Rodes City Run 10K a tradition
and return to Louisville every spring to participate
in this community event. |
|
| • | The RCR starts at the corner of
4th and Broadway Streets in front of the famous
Brown Hotel, winds through the Cherokee, Grinstead
and Lexington Rd. neighborhoods with music and
entertainment along the course. The race will
turn right from Main St. to Preston St. and left
on Witherspoon and Finish at Floyd St. beside
the Waterfront Park. |

| • | The Rodes City Run 10K (and
Triple Crown race series) will again offer Team

| • | This event will once again have 3 "Fun Run" categories for kids from ages 3 to 10. The races will be held in Waterfront Park near the RCR Finish and the fee is only $5. Each participant will receive an official all-cotton T-shirt and goodie bag. CLICK HERE for additional information. |
